First off, it was a nice one to begin with and it did end somewhat okay in the end. I told the girls before we were going to go anywhere, we had to clean up. Lizzy did a big part of their toys and Bella just wanted to play around. So then I sprayed the carpets down with febreeze--did they smell awesome! Everything smells so pretty now and I like that.
Well, after we got everything done cleaning, I went to cash my check and then we cleaned the car---vacuum, throw stuff away and had to wash it through the car wash. Was very messy so it needed it. Just wish I had a shammy after I was done because no there are dry water marks on the car. I'll go out today and really wash the windows. I have windex in the back of the car to clean the windows.
After this, the girls are screaming in the back of the car...I'm hungry, I want McDonalds...and well I want to get the Shrek collection so I said okay. We went, the first one only had two cups so I got the donkey and the cat. I went to another one on Third Avenue close to where we used to live by Palomar. The guy when I was ordering said they had Phiona and Shrek, I said I want to order one Phiona and two Shrek (one for Omar). I order them, then the guy comes back and says they only have the cat and donkey, but that they are getting a shipment right now and to come back in an hour and he will give them to me as a replacement. Getting excited, I forgot that I purchased three when he only gave me to and went on my way.
My next area that I have been putting off was buying a card. I wanted to buy a card for Omar, one from me and then one from the girls. I have been thinking of going to the Hallmark in Bonita by Vons, across from the library and finally went out that way. It is really not that far from the house since we live close to Bonita Rd. Well, I looked at the girls before we got in there, said--DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING UNLESS I SAY SO. Now, I'm thinking glass things...Hallmark has beautiful stuff but very breakable. I said the moment you are starting not to listen we will leave.
So we get in, I tell them straight back to the cards. Elizabeth starts asking for a stuffed animal and I said no. Well, we are looking through the cards and I seriously cannot find what I am looking for. The few cards that they have for right now were mostly tailored towards Father's Day and I did not want that. I found one card for the girls but when I asked them to help me pick out a card for their dad, I noticed the lady behind the counter was getting irratated. Then she started following us around the store, peeking over the isle. I swear, she thought I was going to shoplift. Anyway, I'm in the Father's Day section, Bella is right behind me and I hear the lady say....what did you do with the card sweetie? Bella looks over at her, the lady says..you had a motorcycle card, where did you put it. I said, She didn't have a Motorcycle card...the lady goes, yes she did, she was playing with it and I just want to put it back where it belongs. Then the guy from upfront says, Ma'am, I appreciate you being in the store, but you need to keep them off the cards. I looked at the lady and said, she did not have motorcycle card, it was a Handy Manny card and she put it back and told the guy...no that is okay, I will take my business somewhere else..he literally grabs the card out of my hand and says thank you. Mentions that there is another Hallmark up the street...I said, no that is okay I am not impressed with Hallmark right now and you just lost my business...then as I am walking out, he says I'm sure they will be fine upstanding individuals one day. I looked at him and said...they are just kids. And walked out. I swear, the girls were not even horrible!! The cards they had, the put back and were trying to help me pick out a card. They were not running around the store--I could not believe it! I have seen the girls be 10 times worse somewhere else, they were being little angels to me! And everyone always tells me how good my kids are (except I think they are worse...lol).
So, now, I took them to Vons to get a snack and back on our way to McDonalds we went. When I get to McDonalds, I go through the drive through and tell the lady what is going on and about the guy I spoke with. I was still flustered over what happened at Hallmark I tried to remember his name...no go, but I saw him through the window and they told me they would get the cups. I mentioned I bought three instead of two, showed them the receipt...they went looking. When they came back, she told me they only had Phiona. I said, that is okay, can I just have my money back. She said sure, just park over there and I'll bring it. I swear, I waited about 15 minutes only for them to bring me the money for one cup. So I grabbed the girls out of the car and went in. There was a manager there, I said to him the whole story all over again..you know what he says to me...you bought two glasses, that is the price for one glass. I said, no...I bought THREE. He says again, no you didn't, you bought TWO. I think I went through the convo twice until he goes, then where is your receipt. I said, the lady has it, she never gave it back to me. I thought she would bring it out when she brought the money. The one guy that helped me before found my receipt and gave it to him. I said, see...look three cups! I only have one, Phiona, so I need to be repaid for two cups! I'm getting frustrated now. He fiddles with the cash register....finally opens it and guess what he says...are you sure you paid for three? I said, look at the receipt! It says three! Each cup is 1.99, the amount back should be over four dollars, not two. He finally says okay, gives me back my receipt and the money....no apology or anything. AAAAAAHHHHH
After this, I decide I need to drive to cool off after the last two events. The girls and I went to Mira Mesa, I took them to big lots. They each got a toy for 5 bucks...Bella got a Dora toy with a pony. Lizzy got a my little pony and guess what, I got my cards and no one was there to tell my girls they couldn't help me find them. And they were good in the store too, just like any other kid in a store. We came home, I did homework, the girls watched a movie....and to bed we all went.
